Default Texas Speed 383 W/comp 244/248 in WS6

Just finished up putting a friend of mine 01 WS6 back together, after stock LS1 came apart (see pics).. Factory block was done.. So got him to bite the Bullet and buy a Texas speed long block.. Motor is a Forged 383, with Stage 1 Ls6 heads, Comp 244/248 .612"/.615" 112 LSA.. Kept the LS6 intake, installed Racetronix 42lb. Injectors. car also has QTP LTs, Magnaflo catback, and it is a 6speed car.. Added few pictures of old motor and here link for video of car running with new motor..

Sounds healthy. You need to talk him into getting a better intake now.

I have no idea how it happened.. he said he went to start it up one morning and she cut right back off.. not sure what came first.. chicken or the egg.. rod has clean break and piston is broke.. but was very hard to believe since car is easy driven (since he's owned it) and only had 65,000 on it.. I've put hell on 150k motors and nothing like that before..

I'm trading in the LS6 for a Super Vic/4150 setup. A single plane intake setup on that motor would really make some steam.

Very nice! Same thing happened to my LS1, so I went with a forged 370 LQ9 from TMS. How much power is it making?

Should make some steam. Sounds like a killer setup. Which FAST setup do you have?

Kinda sounds like the leaking cowl and hydrolock that a lot of guys talk about on here.

Killer Set up!
