Yeah, I saw some of Martin's posts on FB last night. It's been a rougher than average winter here in Missouri too, but nothing like those guys have had. I'm heading to Florida for a week, so I'll enjoy the nice, summer-like weather.

Here we just got 13" of snow....another question but regarding spark plugs. Will I need to run a cooler plug with 14.1:1 compression when using e85? I know it has cooling effects but I don't know how much it does.

I'll see once all the engine work and stuff is done if I do PFTE lines or upgrade that later. I will eventually do it but I may not at this time.

That is a great question regarding plugs. I would think running a NGK TR6 plug would be good, but I may be way off.

I'd like to see you run the stock fuel lines to start with, but more so just because I want to see if it works.

I am thinking I'll start with one step cooler and see how the plugs look and then adjust from there.

Or are they doing the same thing as with the HCR 241s where they weld and then cut the chamber?
I talked to AI about milling my heads .060" and they said it's really not a big deal with intake manifold alignment. He mentioned you "might" have to file the bottoms of the dowels a bit to get them to pop into the heads.

That's what they told me as well and that generally high 50 ccs and there shouldn't be any alignment issues. In addition they mentioned that they could mill the flanges more to decrease the chances of any intake milling needed but in most cases due to their corrective machining and o - ring seals on the intake there are 0 issues with alignment.

I am contemplating getting these HEADS, RHS small bore (3.900) ls7 266cc heads instead of getting my 243s ported. I would either need to sell my FAST 102 and get a LS7 FAST 102 or sell my FAST 102 and NW 102 and get a LS7 intake and 90mm TB since I think retaining the 102 TB would be pointless if I bought a stock intake. One thing I couldn't find is what size the combustion chamber on the RHS heads are and if they can be milled down to 57cc.

Let me know what you guys think.

Cool I'll probably try out the BR7S when I get to that point.

I am also looking at the GZ vacuum pump and the Moroso pump as well and I am trying to figure out what parts I would need for the Moroso unit since there is no complete kit. Anyone know? In addition it seems most people go with the Moroso over the GZ, is there any reason why?

Another head I am contemplating instead of ported 243s are AFR small bore 3.900 230 cc heads (part# 1660) and having them milled down to 57cc from 62. Does anyone know how would these compare with AI 243s ported with their 232 cc service?

If you want some good heads, I'll pull the AFR's off my 418 and sell them to you. I'm going with a CNC LS3 head on my motor.

Instead of a vacuum pump I decided to run a dual catch can set up for the time being. I may later change though. Here is the catch can I will be getting.

I can order it with AN fittings as well.

After I saw that I decided no. That has got to be a typo.

That's insane then. I would think you would get some valve shrouding with that.
