Should be a nice overall cam by the look of the specs, but you haven't told us enough to infer if you'll like it, or not. FYI, depending on how aggressive you're willing to go on cam lobe ramp rates, the power band you're looking for, and how smooth or rough you want you idle, you've go at least 4 additional options from Howards Cams that you might like better.
I'd probably also look at the Howards # 197715-10.

BTW, Tick Performance also offers a very similar cam, which would also be another good option.

which would be better the howards asa cam you suggested or go with the gm asa cam? Also what springs would be best ls6 or go ahead with ls9 I would rather reuse my stock hardware and just swap springs. Also with lower lift are push rods still recomended?

The Howards #197715-10 and the GM ASA cam will have the same overlap(@.05") and sound the same, but the Howards will make more Hp/Tq compared to the GM ASA, and I believe it has a has a lower IVC than the GM ASA (39* vs 41*). The only benefit of the GM cam is the milder lobes which would have longer valve train life, so and you could use less expensive LS6 springs. With the Howards I'd run a set of PAC1211X beehive springs.
