Default 6.0 stroker

I have a few questions but also want opinions. I just picked up a 6.0 iron block fresh from the machine shop. It is bored to 4.065 and is notched for a 4-inch stroke. I think this is pretty rare. I haven't heard of anyone else doing this to get 415 c.i. I bought it for a great price and it came with wiseco nitrous pistons. Please chime in and let me know what you think. Thanks in advance to everyone.

Thanks for the link. I will be watching for new post there also. My machine shop said it will be fine. Will run nitrous through, once in a while but should be able to get the job done on the motor most of the time.

Schwanke ahortblocks builds iron 376/415/427ci ahortblocks for dirt racing. I think Thompson motosports sells iron stroker with the same bore as well. Idk about the durability in a street application, but for track use I'm gonna say it would be fine...otherwise they wouldn't sell such a product.

it's long been said that you want to keep the motor square for street use at no more than 4.030/4.060 bore and no more than 4.0 stroke. reason being the skirts in the LQ4/LQ9 iron blocks are shorter and the piston has issues "rocking" in the bottom of the bore with such a large stroke. even on a 4.030/4.00 (408cid) the issue exists to some degree but is within "acceptable" limits for "street" use.
