WTF that is crazy!

Maybe it was about to pop, and having the car in 4th with a huge pipe on the crank bolt put it over the edge? I say that's a blessing in disguise if that's the case then.

I am probably going to have to send the car out to an experienced LS mechanic. My garage is only so big and the removal of the entire k member is going to be pushing it. Much thinking to do.
