Default flexplate to crank bolts reuse/new oem/arp

Hopefully replacing the flexplate and tc this weekend.. Weather permitting. Can I reuse the bolts as long as I clean them up and chase the holes to make sure everything is clean and locktite before installing? Replace with OEM replacements? Use grade8 or get ARP 244-2901. The only catch is I would need them by Sunday without paying an arm and a leg..

Anyone? im sure reusing would be fine as im sure transmission shops reuse when replacing parts and installing.. just want to be prepared for when I start no need to be running around town for parts and stuff I should have already.

It's been a while but I'm pretty sure they weren't torque to yield like the head bolts, I know I have reused them before. I don't know your setup though.

the only major ones that i'm aware of that are TTY are head bolts and crank bolt...neither of which should ever be reused anyways...

They say you can reuse the flywheel/flexplate bolts...but if it's not more than a few bucks for new OEM i'd just go that route. ARP's are nice...but how nice for the price...

Well the OEM I can get locally from circle d for I think $20
ARP for $23 plus shipping (244-2901)

At lunch going to stop by the local race shop and see what their cost is if they have any.

fasteners have never really been overpriced from my local dealer...unlike every single other GM part they sell.

My turn signal switch was under 50 shipped from rockauto. dealer cost? almost 100 bucks. Ha.

As far as the flexplate bolts go do like you said, chase the threads and use loctite and you should be fine with the bolts in there. (Proper torque of course, but you already know that.) The converter to fp bolts though, if the factory bolts wouldn't work I would think they should be included. Remember all the bolts are metric so if you do end up having to get some they would be graded 8.8 or 10.9, obviously the higher # is stronger. Hope everything goes smoothly for you.

For the little change difference and seems you have a few extra days due to the weather just oerder your ARPs and be done with, will not need to worry about them again.

Flywheel bolts, ARP w/ red loctite

Pressure plate bolts, re use stock w/ blue loctite

This is good to 900+ RWHP

This is what Steve@SNL Performance told me.
