Default timing gear removal

just wondering what the best way is to remove a timing gear from the crank on a stock ls1? i have a brand new sdpc ls2 set and i wanna install both gears and bearing when i put my new heads and cam in

is that all you used was the 3 jaw puller to get yours off? i'm already on a tight budget and can't do all the kent moore tools, thanks anyway though

You need to use a puller; I'd either borrow or rent a 3 jaw puller.

Advance auto 3 jaw puller works wonders. Just take your time lining it up and getting the teeth on. The n preload the bolt on the snout so it holds and then begin to slowly turn while checking the teeth don't come loose on the gear. Comes off pretty quickly too. You can rent the tool from Advance and return it for a full refund.

yup, no need to spend $$$ on tools for this very simple exercise.
