Default cam question and starting question

is it worth doing a cam swap on a 5.3 Silverado with 200,000 miles on it? if soo what cam would be good for it? and what all does a 5.3 need to start up? as in sensor wise, obviously the crank sensor is one, but what else? and how does the 5.3 give out its RPM reading? does it use the crank sensor?

I'd be more worried about the lifters but be conservative check out the tsp 220r it's pretty mild. There's also a cam sensor and knock sensor I know thats not all. Aa far as the rpm im not too sure. Oil pressure sensor! Forgot that one.
