Default Wtf is with cam bearings?!?

bought some camshaft bearings and having an issue ive seen this problem before on here,

http://www.summitracing.com/dom/part...814s/overview/

clevite cam bearings and 3 of the 5 bearings are WAYY to tight on the camshaft, whats the deal with this, cant turn the cam shaft down because then there will be too much clearance in the good bearings, is it suitable to clearance the bearing with emery cloth etc? they are so tight to the point that I can not even get the cam through even with the bearing out of the block, the ID is about .01 smaller than the actual cam journal..

On my build my cam bearings were too loose, so I had to get thicker bearings and had them line honed to tolerance.I don't think you'll get a precise roundness with sand paper.

each cam bearing inside the block is specific to their bore. Well at least 1, 234 and 5 are.

I've seen the cam fit tight inside the cam bearings and still ran the motor. Never had an issue. Same amount of oil pressure and no issues for many miles.

yeah i have them in the respective spots that are listed, the issue is that the cam literally wont even move once you start to put it throught the bearing it locks right up.

I hope you don't mind a couple of dumb questions . . .

Are the cam journal diameters on the cam "in spec" ?

Is the camshaft straight ?

Honestly not sure what the spec for the cam is it's just weird that it's only certain bearings I'll check that out didn't know if certain brands were better but clevite in my experience has been good

It's possible the cam is to big all cam company's have made that mistake. The bearing size is 55MM or 2.165 + or - a few tenths.
