Default Heads?? And are they worth it??

I just bought a ls1 and car is already has mods
92/92
410s
232/238 113 cam
Full bolt ons

I was wondering which heads would b preferred with my set up and is it worth spending 3K+ on heads with install and ect ??

Moving down the mod path typically gives diminishing returns as the cost per horsepower rises. So, whether it is worth it depends on your how much you want more power. In my case, (Trick Flow 215s) heads added at least as much power as my cam(mild). Unlike the cam, the heads added power everywhere - from idle to redline.

Its really all up to you. If you want to get every ounce of hp out of the motor...its gonna cost you. All the little things add up but it sounds like your car is lacking heads at this point.

IMO, 3k on heads isnt worth it for the 25 HP you will gain. Id send yours off to be ported and call it good.

That's what I was thinking I found some heads for around 2k but after all the other stuff and labor and time wind up spending around 3k just for 30-40hp I don't think it's worth it but just getting other people opinion.. thanks

Heads are always worth it as like Darkman said they add power everywhere and don't compromise on driveability.

You don't need to spend 3k on heads, even less than half that will net you 90% of the performance.

Personally, I like the "bang for the buck" of the PRC heads from Texas Speed. Also, Scoggin-Dickey has some good choices.

Heads are where it's at. They really should be the centerpiece to any NA build.
