Default What Valve Springs W/ VRX5 .605 Lift

Im putting my engine back together, and cant find a set of valve springs locally. I expected to make a trip down to Summit and buy the springs along with many other parts.

Vengeance racing recommends to use dual springs with the VRX5, but exactly what springs will work?

Cam specs
236/238 .601/.605 113+2

Something I came across

Anything over .600 lift I recommended dual springs. You can get away with singles, but with that high of a lift, they will wear out in a fairly short period. Just my 2cents.

Vengeance Racing lists the BTR .660 Platinum springs for that cam, which would be a good choice. The springs behind the link have higher open spring pressure which may be unnecessary. I would also look at Comp 921s.

Ok. Exactly what dual springs will work with my setup? I am using stock heads. I just hope Summit has a set, as that's my only option to get the motor together this weekend.

EDIT: Thanks Darkman, we posted at the same time. Ill see if summit carries them.

So the Comp kit costs a good bit more. What effects would the higher open spring pressure from the lunati springs I posted above have?

Not a lot, since the lift of your cam is not all that high. High open spring pressures with stock rockers and higher lifts lead to valve tip scrubbing.

Edit: Lunati?
