Another LQ9 piston ID question
I have searched and not been able to find concrete answers.
I bought a used set of LQ9 pistons and rods to put in my LQ4. The seller did not know the exact year they were out of. Upon arrival I noticed one piston had some knicks in the skirt. I sent them off to my machine shop and sure enough that one piston is deformed beyond specification and should be replaced.
Is there a way to ID what year piston I have and are there differences from year to year? What I know is they are floating pin rods and coated skirts. From there I don't really have much more to go off of. They should be fully cleaned when I get them back from the shop so I may be able to find some information then, but I thought I would ask you guys that live and breathe these things.
Thanks in advance for any help,
Matt
