Default Oil Pressure going down?

Just did a 3200 stall and BBK SSI manifold, as well as updated my tune. Now it seems like idling at 500 rpm the oil pressure gauge drops do just below half and when driving regular is just above half. It was always much higher before this. Is this normal?

P.S. I hope this is in the right section. And thanks in advance to all.

Did you catch the brake booster hose on the oil pressure sending unit when you swapped intakes? You may have cracked it and not have realized it. I would check that first.

Hmmm, well it was the guys at the shop I go to. I wouldn't think they missed that but I will be sure to look into it. In the meantime, if all else is well, I could still drive normally right?

I would get it checked out ASAP. Not worth chancing it, if it is a failing pump.

Me personally maybe just back to the shop it was worked on at if that. It is very easy to check the OPSU reach back behind the intake on the driver side and you can feel it. Low oil pressure can destroy a motor. Learned the hard way when i was in high school, rod bearing and rod went thru the block.

You will be able to feel the OPSU to see different it is broke/cracked. If it is you will feel oil back there on the OPSU. Or even what I did was get a small mirror that had an extendable arm and a flashlight to physically see it.

It is a catch-22, if you pull it to check it you will more than likely break it.

^^^^^ this it really is a catch-22. Thats why i suggested reaching back to feel for it if its broke or any cracks or get the mirror.

No break. And mechanic says everything seems normal, and it is more likely that the pressure was above normal before. Because it isn't low now and it has been warmer than previous times I payed attention to the gauge so maybe the oil isn't as thick? But we have a mechanical oil gauge on route just for peace of mind.
