Yeah your best bet is to focus on a cam with spec within this range: 218-221 for the intake lobes, and 228-230 for the exhaust lobes, and a 117 or 118 lsa to help keep the overlap in the -8* to -12* range I'd stick with a fairly mild exhaust lobe for a quieter(stealthy) valve train.
You're most likely looking at a custom cam.

Not set on anything! Just want a 20-35 hp gain and 0 change in idle.
A high 220s cam will have a different idle that stock, most gearheads will be easily able to tell you have a cam.

Normally Yes, but not always. You might be able to tell by the sound if a engine has a performance cam in it or not, but not size/duration of the cam. You can have 2 cams with exactly the same lobes, lets say a 227/227 but one with a 110lsa and the other with a 118lsa. The 227/227 110 lsa cam will have 7* OL and a very clear cam lope , and the 227/227 118lsa will have -9* overlap and have a almost stock like sound. These two cams will not sound the same at all.

If you're going with a sleeper setup, why did you go with a 5.3 and not something bigger that will make more power and look just as stock?
