So i think theirs a problem with a lifter. Its been chirping but I didn't even think of it till last night when I pulled the belts off and ran it with the chirp still their. Damn this isn't gonna be fun

I just wanted to respond to this dead post. It was indeed a lifter. One of the rollers wore to **** and had play in it. Once i replaced the lifter and cam all went back to normal.

Glad to hear it and the fact that you let us know the fix. Still sucks that you had to tear down the top end of a new motor. What lifters and cam was it?

Ls7 lifters and a ms4 cam. I always ran vr1 oil also as thats what texas speed recommended. Now i have a giant eps cam and lunati 72532 link bar lifters.
