Is this build plausible?
I'm looking at getting a LQ4 408 that is built for boost. However, I won't be able to boost it for another year or so. Since i don't want to rebuild the engine at that time, I want to set up the short block for a turbo, but get a cam and heads that make decent power N/A. I'm thinking of using -29cc dished pistons. Can I mill a set of 241 or 243 heads enough to bump the compression to at least 10.1:1 without having ptv clearance issues? I know this depends on my choice of cams. How big of a cam could i run? I'll take any advice or recommendations. Thanks in advance.
You are looking at buying the 408 long block already built? Or building it?
We can get you anything you need as far as the build goes.
I would use a set of 243 heads that were milled and AT LEAST have a good valve job and a set of stainless (Manley) valves in them. You should not have any PTV issues with even a poorly designed cam with the valve reliefs/dish those pistons should have.
We can custom grind you any cam for any app and make you happy for sure!
Let us know if we can be of more help.

I'm thinking about buying a built short block and completing the engine myself. It'll probably be a month or two before I can start. I'm still recovering from a broken back, but I'm trying to plan things out now.
