Default Should I install this cam?

I picked up some ported and polished 243s that came with a cam. The specs on the cam are 228/234 .588/.598 115+3. I have long tubes, manual trans, ls6 intake and TB, and of course the ported 243s with comp 918 springs and stock ls6 valves. I would like to keep good midrange torque and stay NA.

Won't be the most powerful cam, but yes it should have a good midrange punch

I was just worried about the LSA being high. Always heard 112 LSA was good for a NA LS motor.

Its a DD so, I want to keep it street friendly. Not really looking to sacrifice street manners for max power.

Personally I'd want something with a tighter LSA

There are a lot of 114 LSA cams with far less intake/exhaust split than that cam, so if mid range is what you want, I think that cam will be just fine. The good things about these LS engines is you can throw pretty much any cam in there and it's going to be an improvement. It may be a little out of the ordinary, but should be fine. Where did you get it from? I think it was probably designed as a boost friendly cam.

It is a custom grind from Comp. Previous owner told me he planned on running nitrous.

I say run it. The wider LSA will actually be better for daily driving, gas mileage, and should be easier to tune.

I think I will try it. I hate trying to sell stuff anyway. Thank you for the advice.
