I checked that out. Thank you very much. I am just starting almost the exact same build. It will be the first engine I every build. I plan to make it the first of many so things like this are very helpful. I'll be watching closely. Keep up the good work.

So once I took the engine out , The engine bay wasnt in top shape, so I said to myself that paint it here and there. As always I ended up striping all cables and everything and just painting the whole engine bay. The most trouble areas were right under the battery which had some rust forming and also the driver's side around the Brake fluid reservoir the whole paint had fallen off because of brake fluid. This will not happen again. I highly recomend to everyone doing this while the engine is out. It will look SO MUCH cleaner in the future.

Well the Slp Pulley was quite in there. Still Easy enough when you have the right tools. Notice that I have never to this date have ever used the threads inside the crankshaft as a support to push on them to get the pulley out. I just put a socket on the Crankshaft and push on it rather than on the inside threads. It has worked pretty well for me and never had a problem in the few Pulleys I have removed, Stock or aftermarket.
Another easy task with the right tool, Removed the old Sprocket. I think this might just be about the only part from my old engine that I used.
A semi-decent shot of the old head gaskets and pistons.

I gotta give it to Texas-Speed, Probably the best Sponsor I dealt with in my whole build. I should have had more stuff purchased from them. They deserve more business and I will be back ! After only 15 days from initially ordering my shortblock they had it build and shipped to me ! You just cant beat that. A few days later I got this present via Freight Delivery.
This thing is just sex on stands

I nicked the rear cover where the seal sits at with my screw driver , I dont know if you can see it in the picture. I decided to risk it and just go with it.
Installed the rear cover and Rear Main seal, I didnt wanna have a headache with any possible problems with this in the future so this tool made my life SO MUCH EASIER.
I tried to heat up the sprocket in the oven so that I could reinstall it and it just wasnt working as I hoped. So I ended up heating it with a propane torch and in just a minute the thing was dancing on the crankshaft, Held it back with the back on my rubber hammer, till it cooled down and was snug like a boss.
