Sorry I havent kept up with the build its been some busy weeks of me doing a lot and nothing in the car.

I did got my dynotune a few weeks back and also made a couple of runs at the track to check on the real power the car is making.

Here are the results..

The numbers seemed a little low. However if you know Dan Maslic in Boca Raton , as I have been told by everyone his dyno is more or less a heart braker because it read really low. So lets just compare this numbers to the track times.

R/T ... 1.097
60' ... 1.863
330 ... 5.169
1/8 ... 7.7
MPH ... 94.92
1000... 10.012
1/4 ... 11.877
MPH... 121.47

So I only got to race 2 times and that was my best pass. I was trying to find right RPM to launch at and the highest I did was at 3k RPM

After a week or so I went again and go myself 3 more runs.

Launch at 4500 rpm
R/T ... .730
60' ... 1.644
330 ... 4.860
1/8 ... 7.487
MPH ... 94.60
1000... 9.722
1/4 ... 11.609
MPH... 119.70

I have been fighting my 60' a lot trying to get it down and will be getting new shocks and springs from Midwest chassis to hook better. In grass if I have to.

So this has left me very much in awe.. This combo should be producing much more power. Even with the 1.6 foot I think I should* be +5mph faster and around .4-.5 sec faster.. What do you guys think?! Thanks for the tips.

So even if I get my 60' down to 1.4 I will be barely scratching the 10s.. That cannot be. My goal is 10.8 and I just have to refine the combo...

So today I just got myself off my azz and started trying to solve the situation.

Did a compression test and results are good. (I actually did this like 3 days ago)

#8- 206 #7-208
#6- 209 #5-207
#4-199 #3-195
#2-205 #1-205

I didnt recheck #3 but I think I could get a better psi . Either way everything looks good there.

I took off the valve covers and rechecked all the rockers, removed them and checked the pushrods. It was night time but they didnt look bend on a glass table I was checking them on. Tomorrow will recheck pushrod length again just to make sure everything is ok there. However the engine was running great , no weird noises or anything. Still gonna check that to be sure.

In the video which was the last Run the car made 419 rwhp/400 rwtq

This graph is of previous run.

I seem to be peaking a little too early any tips on what might be happening . I been talking to Martin @ Tick and he believe that its the whole combo including my pushrods which I will upgrade to 3/8s. Had I started the thread when I actually started the build I could have changed as per the first recommendation of JakeFusion. Guess that teaches me to double check everything with someone that really knows their sht.

Edit* I forgot to add AFR is 12.9 at WOT , however timing I cant remember I will find out..

I hope you can track down where the missing power is. I tried skimming back through the post, do you know what the car weighs? Definitely peaking way earlier than what you would want. Would be a bummer to have to swap the cam to get the results you were expecting. I am trapping higher with the stock bottom end. I would keep at it with Martin, or give a call to Brian Tooley, both guys are great and can help you figure this out.

I know and you have better heads bigger exhaust.. I though for sure you would be in the 500 rwhp range I plan on hitting 500 rwhp maybe next year I'm going to go with the trickflow heads and some 1 7/8 headers and port my fast intake

Mine are 1 3/4 also. Yeah I have a line lock and a TNT 150 shot. I will have numbers on that in a few weeks, just wanted to give the motor some more miles first. Have you been to the track with yours yet?

I've got a similar build, except i'm using 205 afr heads milled to 59cc, 11.2:1 CR, 236/242 617/619 111 cam, same intake, 1 3/4 headers, same callies compstar 383 kit, but with mahle pistons, and using ls7 lifters and factory rockers with captured trunions, made 481rwhp, ran in the low 10's but my car weighs less than 2600 lbs, should be some more power left in your build, what's your compression ratio

I put on a set of drag radials a week ago ,what a difference they made! The plate is a nice setup and clean looking.
