Default Vengeance racing vindicator cam

Hi i have an m6 2000 camaro .ls1 with a stoke bottim .i am about to instal a vindicator cam kit that was recomended to me by vengeance racing . My goal was to reach 400+whp with a cam only set up .. now my car is bon stock . I bought every thing brand new . So mods are as follow . Vengeance racing vindicator cam kit 7.400 push rods .660 lift dual spring kit. Comp trunion kit for stoke rockers . Arp cam bolt , milling oil pump , race tronix fuel pump assembly with the wiring harness, 37 ib injectors , fast lsxr 92 intake manifold, nick williams TB , cloyes ls1 timing set. Pacesster LT with borla cat back . Monster level 3 clutch kit with lightened fly wheel .
All i want is max power of that engine . Drivebility is not an issue to me . What do u guys think about this set up . And did any one tried this cam plz let me know what power did youall got. Note its a big cam 240/244 .605/.596

My boy did this to his set up and almost reached 500 thru a m6 but with some trick flow heads.. ..

That cam may not be the greatest with stock gears, which i'm assuming you have since you didn't say otherwise

It's not a bad cam... but in several magazine articles that featured it, smaller cams with different lobe technologies made more power, torque, and vacuum (which is where the streetability comes from).

However, the TFS215/FAST LSX/Vindicator combo is good for at least 480rwhp. So it works there.

I see that it's on a 112 LSA with 4 degrees advance, so that will help. With a good set of heads, intake, and a tighter gear i'm sure it would do really good

Here is the test I speak of (Part 2 and 3 add Predator heads - so be careful when reading). The Vindicator looked pretty beastly in Part 1 and the F16 from Futral put out more power (by over 15HP and more torque) with the same test, despite being a smaller cam:

Car made a nice 408 whop on dyno dynamics with is equal to 460 on a dyno jet. Any one has any suggestions or tips to raise the hp besides throwing heads. Please guide me.

How much torque? Post up the graph if you have it.

Well I don't know how to post pictures here. But it was 427 torque. I like the cam and drivebility is nice it was tuned via efi live software and in a hot day temp was more than a 100 degree

Sorry man but you are not making 460 rwhp on any dynojet dyno if it's calibrated correctly. Not trying to burst your bubble but I'm just saying...

Why not swap heads? It is the next logical step, better breathing will really maximize what that cam has to offer.

Check into the Hellion cam by Flowtech Induction (Ed Curtis). If max mpower is what you want, that is what you'll get.

I would do heads and cam at the same time. 400whp cam only is sooo 10yrs ago.

I Love Going bk to these 2014 post. And reading how people minds were bk then. I was the first in my state south region to put a full weight true stock tq arm suspension 2000 z28 Camaro car in the 80s, 5.80s with a vengeance racing vindicator cam and how people was so wrong bout cams bk then. I dare anyone to say what they said bk then now. Smaller cams made more HP lol LS motors don't wk like that lol. Oh you gotta fly cut the pistons , lol when we literally ran 230-high 260 intake exhaust over 630 on either side with no piston to value clearance issues lol and the vindicator cam still perfect till this day 2024 couse vengeance though bout everything to save $ but make max HP per dollar with they say run the stock 1.7 rockers to insure ptv clearance and still make max effort cam HP numbers on the Dyno with no extra bigger aftermarket rockers needed, before they pushed BTR to flood the cam value train game before BTR 400+ cubic inch nitrous cam was even on the market, it was guys like Ron at vengeance giving us 400+ cubic inch nitrous camshafts bk then and y'all ant even know it lol. Ps and the power band truns to 7000 RPM without falling off , even tho trex cams was a slight bit bigger on the lift duration side they drop off rt before 6700 RPM. Lol

Lets talk old school cams. I was at the road course and a guy shows up with a 2000 Mallet Corvette with a 240 degree intake cam that could barely idle. That was a $38,000 engine back in the day and it idled and ran like crap. I told him to get a newer smaller cam.
