Default How does my camshaft look...

Swapping my valley cover gasket, figured I'd post a picture of my camshaft as it looks like it has some wear to it. But after 139,000 miles, I expected this. Anyways how does it look? Normal for this mileage? Maybe swap in the near future?

With that mileage, it looks about right. The scuff on the left lobe is a little unusual, but again, it's got a fair amount of mileage on it. You need Heads and Cam now.

Off topic from my original post but I don't feel like cluttering any other sections with a new thread, plus I wanted to bump this back up for further input on my cam condition. Anyways, recently I developed a slight oil leak (couple drops) only at startup. So while I had my intake manifold off for an LS6 swap, I decided to swap out my valley cover gasket since it's right there. Naturally I broke my OPSU as well so it was replaced. Well after startup I still have the same small leak. I figured it was probably the valley cover gasket because of the picture attached. PCV hose was replaced as well as mine broke. I replaced my valve cover gaskets also since I had the coils off for plugs and wires. Does anyone know anywhere else the leak could be coming from?

My stock cam with 145k miles didn't look like that. Have you had any oiling issues?

To my knowledge, no. However I got the car with 130,000 miles so what the previous owners did is an unknown.

Could be your cam sensor leaking the oil.

Yeah, I'm hoping it's not the cam sensor because I wasn't aware there is a simple seal to replace. Everything is back together now so it'd really suck if it was it. I got degreaser and UV dye to finally find the source of it.

Any other input/opinions on the cam condition?

Thanks
