LS6 Oil Pump Shims

Hey fellas,

Can anybody tell me what size shims I need to install the oil pump?

The easiest way to do it is when you unscrew the cap that holds the spring, take the cap and put a nut or a few washers and fill the underside of the cap leaving just a little cup for the spring to sit in. I believe it's just a hair under 1/4".

If you're talking about shims to center the pump housing, I use .002" and/or .003" thick feeler gauges. In a pinch, regular old notebook paper works too...
