Can valvesprings slow car?
Can valvesprings slow car? My cam has a .610 lift. I had comp .650 springs. I replaced with some prc .675 that I've had for two years. I lost 2 mph and a full second in the quarter. I really don't feel like changing these springs. I noticed a loose spark plug cable but think a cylinder would have dropped me more than 2 mph. Also I pulled the valve covers and don't see a broken spring. Any explanation?

What is the install height? coil bind? compression rate for old and new springs??
2mph and 1 sec do not equate.
Adding spring pressure where it isn't needed can and will lose power.
That said, I don't see it losing 2mph and a full second.
