Default Help Needed

I purchased two LQ4 engines. When I start the rebuild I am curious about the flex plate and spacer (if it is needed) to put either a glide or th400 behind it. Both of the engines had spacers attached to the crankshaft in front of the flex plate. Is this needed to install either the glide or the th400 behind these motors?
Thanks for any and all information in advance.

If memory serves, if you have a curved flexplate, then you would place the flexplate between crank and spacer. If you have a flat flexplate, then the spacer would go between the crank and flexplate. Then you would be good to bolt your Lq4 to a th 400.
