Default Cam and Injector question

Alright. Just finishing up the shopping part of my build, I get the block and heads back from the machine shop next week.

So far this is what I've got.

Ls1 block, honed for wiseco pistons
Scat I beams
Clevite bearings
Arp mains
High flow oil pump
Ls2 timing chain
Arp head bolts
243 heads with 2.02 intake and 1.60 exhaust, bowl blend and minor porting
Heads milled 3 thou with stock mls gaskets (should be around 10.4 compression)
Tsp dual valve springs
Comp cam caged bearing rocker upgrade
Chromoly push rods
Bbk intake (flame on, couldn't justify a fast)
85mm TB to match the BBk

So. Before I started milling, porting, blending and all that fun stuff I had bought a 228r cam. Figured it would be plenty for stock everything. Well, now I'm thinking it might be a bit small. Keeping in mind this will never see the track, is a DD, going through a m6, and needs to be very well manored yet make nice power and have a good lope to it. What is a good cam for me? I started looking at the torquer V2 but don't like it because of the high rpm power band. Lonnie at TSP recommended the Torquer V3 today when I ordered my ARP head bolts. Now I'm just curious what all of you guys think would work well. He did mention a little cam surge with that big of a cam which I don't think I would mind if it was mild. If it stalls out that would be a deal breaker though.

Power goals are ~425whp give or take.

Also, injectors. My calculators are saying 36#. Probably will go with fasts. Will those be good for my setup? Can I use the stock fuel rail?

Thanks guys, happy driving.

Oh, I have full bolt ons too. Long tubes, underdrive pulley, intake etc.

Stock fuel rails with 36 injectors should work fine. The Torquer V3 is a nice cam (I used to run the V2 myself) and should have no drivability issues to speak of if it's tuned right

After some research I am going to stay away from the Torquer. Apparently the lobes are hell for the valvetrain's lifespan..no bueno on a DD.

Yes but it's over exaggerated IMO! With the right springs and supporting components it's not going to be a big difference
