I like beehive springs. I've been using them on my race car for years. GM uses them almost exclusively. Very stable and light weight.
The LS6 cam really doesn't need much spring. Stock GM springs will last about forever.
BUT, a forced induction application requires more spring pressure. Otherwise the pressure from the incoming fuel:air charge will hold the valves open and cause floating. That's a bad thing. Stepping up to more pressure to something like a 1218 is an excellent idea.

Anything not on hard lobes or under .630 lift a good beehive is the best option. I would look into pac 12xx series or the PSI 1511's which is what I run. The PSI's are what gm performance uses and are the only beehive springs to my knowledge with a 0 documented failure rate.
