I thought the instructions say to tighten to 40ftlbs. and then another 180 degree turn?

I think it was 40 ft lbs, then another 1/3 turn.

When you put the pulley on, did you stay away from the oil pump and if so
how did you know???????

Default makeshift way to hold crank still

I jut ram a ratchet between the balancer and various accesories and it works with any tranny and costs nothing. Its easy, quick, and doesnt hurt anything. Hope this helps...

Thanks, I was able to jam a scredriver in the flywheel and cranked down on the bolt.
