A HP rating on rods is pure BS.
The worst stress on a rod is when the piston is stopped and pulled back down at the transition from exhaust to intake stroke and piston weight and rpm are the primary contributors to how much stress they see at that point.

A 450 horsepower stock car engine could ruin those things with 650 gram heavy *** claimer hypereutectic pistons and repeated 7500 rpm blasts and a drag racer could run an E85/turbo set-up @ 1000 horsepower and have them live quite awhile at or under 6500 rpms with a lightweight JE piston.
My friend runs those rods with 8470 bolts in a huge cubic in. sbc with two stages, the car runs 5.0-5.2 in the 1/8 pass after pass. Light weight pistons and a good balance job will help. He is the reason I bought the same rods for my ls1.
