do i need to flycut pistons with trex cam??

Default do i need to flycut pistons with trex cam??

I got a 02 z28 ls6 block. Fresh bottom end new rods bearings nd rings. Heavy duty oil pump. Double timeing chain. Comp push rods. Car has a trex cam. Stil needs tune. Car had 241s on it but i just put a set of 853 heads that were ported polished and milled 64cc with nice valves not sure on size has patriot dual springs. Nice heads have paperwork showing they make more power then prc 2.5 semse the heads ive had thr car running now alot only to check for leaks. Am i guna need to fly cut the pistons? Im not sure on the p2v clearence. I kno nothing about flycutting or this technical stuff

That cam doesn't clear a stock setup. It will leave very minor eyebrows on the pistons from valve contact in an otherwise stock longblock, although some get away without clearancing the pistons. Add in larger valves, a thinner gasket, or as in your case milled heads, then it is REQUIRED.

**** i hope it gos well lol. The heads started off to be stock ls1 heads the machine shop said that they were milled 0.030 to make them 64cc i seen on here that .030 is the limit before flycutting. Idk ive read so much different **** on here about it

always measure. i recieved a cam that was on the incorrect ICL which would have screwed up the amount i had to flycut.

I've always heard that cam will clear stock heads. By how much, I don't know.
