still making noise...I'm going to swap the rockers out to the stockers see if it's the Trunion updgrade....

yes, did that first, still made noise.

I dug out my OEM rockers, tomorrow when the new push rods come in I'll swap them out to see if it's the trunion upgrade. Kinda hope it is so I don't have to tear the head off again.

Talked with a mechanic buddy that had build his LS1 last summer. Showed him the video and he said he had the exact same issue with his. He's thinking that the lifters were not primed enough and that they need to be run a little while to prime them up.


Prior to assembly I did soak them in oil overnight. But to be completely honest, the motor sat for a 4-6 weeks before I was able to get a break in tune and start the motor up.

Thoughts?

How long has the engine ran since the rebuild?

I had this happen once on a friends car, we let it run for 10 15 minutes and the noise went away. Im not sure that is your concern but its worth looking into.

Lifters should stay primed for awhile even after not starting for a few weeks.. Doubt this is your problem
