Default 11.5 to 1 compression stock lq9

I have a 03 escalade lq9. I was wondering if I could keep the stock 317's and mill them to achieve 11.5 to 1. Would I have to start with 243's? I am not sure of cam selection, though it would be mild, dd, street driving. I don't understand PTV clearance enough or changing combustion chamber. I read some cars run 12.1 compression on 93 pump gas. Any suggestions?

Thanks

I would sell the 317's and find a set of 243's. You'll need to have a 62-63 cc combustion chamber with a .040 thick gasket to hit your 11.5:1 compression goals.

ptv clearance has everything to do with the cam, and nothing to do with the chamber size. you can run 12-1 static comp or a tad more, and upper 8's to real low 9's dcr on 93
