Did you soak/prelube during installation?

Sure did, I even felt the slight hitch in this particular roller but didn't really think anything of it.

I found the worn roller pin when I changed the engine oil and found needle bearings stuck to the magnet, they came from another rocker that had a broken cage.

Different rocker about 16,000 miles, was surprised I did't hear any odd noise. Yella Terra sent me two replacement rockers since only two were bad, running good since then and about 15000 miles since replacement.

Usually if it is starved for oil you will either also get valvetrain/lifter noise OR hear a very loud rhythmic squeaking noise that wont go away. It is possible the feed hole at the back was not machined correctly.

Info and photos are with the US rep and will be discussed with Australia this week.

Both Hinson ( supplier) and the YT rep have been very helpful.

We shall see what happens!

Just to give fair warning on the Scorpions. My friend put a new set on his 99 vette. They were noisey right away. They came off right away also and he went back to the stockers. Just a heads up Ron if you were looking to go that route.
This sucks to read. Hope you get it resolved.

Thanks. My supplier mentioned that no-one buys the Scorps.

Good thing I stumbled on this huh?

No one in the ls market buys them because of the bad stigma. Yet they will repeatedly go after the yella terras. I have used them on 4 builds not including a procharged 427 lsx that made over 1k hp. They were the new LS3 versions.
I have actually not installed any yella terras to date.

Ron, the stockers with either the Comp trunion upgrade or the high dollar CHE bronze bushing upgrade might be worth a look. I think it's like $420 if you supply the stock rockers to CHE/WCCH.

Ron,

Do you know when you bought this set? As I recall, it was a fairly recent purchase/installation. I bought mine from BTR and they told me on the phone they had just got the sets in from Yella Terra.

Well that's just what I needed to see. I just upgraded my roller rockers. They are slightly noisey, but that's kind of what I expected out of them. They were soaked for 2 days and also had assembly lube on them. That's all bad news.
