What are your thoughts on the role that pushrods play in this? I did notice a big difference in the upper RPM when I went from 5/16" pushrods to 3/8" double taper. The upper curve smoothed out and raised a bit as well.

The scorpions are on their third revision as well, and to date, I haven't heard of a single failure (new design)

I prob should check spring pressure. They are the AFR PAC upgrade.
Do you guys know if the on the car spring testers work with the LS engines?
It would be a bitch to pull them all off w/o removing the heads.
8k miles on them, with a lot of dragstrip passes. 6600-6700 shift points.

Are these the AFR 8019's? Give Tony a shout but I don't think they would need replacing. You could pull one set and check. I would check one of the pair that had the bad rocker in case there was any shock inputs that might have hurt the springs from the slop in the roller. Everything I have seen on these springs they take a lickin and keep on tickin.

Yes, 8019's. I put them in when I did all the mods.
My heads were used, and had the 8017's installed.

Have you thought about stiffer pushrods (3/8 double taper) especially since you race the car?

Nope. The vettes racing days are all but over.
Compared to my Nova, it's a stone now. Just want it running nice and reliable.

I'd still run a stiffer pushrod...

I am using the Manton Series V in my engine...I like the power curve of this engine being flat from 6000rpm to 7400rpm.

IF you have a stock type head, you cant beat a stock rocker w/trunnions...period.

Seem to be working on my junk @ 8,000 rpm, for 4 years with a bigger cam than 99.8% of the ones here..... Just saying, aluminum rockers suck, plus more weight over the valve.
