This is Comp Cam XER lobes:

228/228, .588/.588 114+4 LSA

Yes you can use it in a 5.3, it has 0 overlap so a nice little burburr sound and really street friendly.
PS: Use BTR dual springs or PSI singles.

Just wondering if I should sell this and go with a proven boost cam?

It wouldn't be an ideal boost cam, but it would work. My advice is, if your on a budget, use it, if not, spec one.
