Ron, where are you getting the info that 5.3 head exhaust port outflows 5.7? I am unaware of this, smaller chamber of 5.3 hinders flow overall(even relieved). Max effort 5.7 intake flows slightly more than 5.3 also.

Check out TEA's website and they have flow comparisons for the 5.7 and 5.3's.

The 5.3's do flow more air on the exhaust side than the 5.7 everytime, given they have the same valve, most of the time a 1.6 valve in a 5.7 won't flow as much as a 1.55 in a 5.3 head.
