Who runs Crower Rods?
From what I know, the rods are good, but you would want to have the rod bolts changed out to ARP's. By the time you add $100 for this, you can buy another rod that is a little better and comes with the ARP bolts. That's just the info I got when I was calling about them.

Why would you want to change the bolts? Those capscrews that come with the sportsmen rod are capable of with standing 200,000psi and what the arp are rated at 220,000psi if i am not mistaken. Waste of money on the rod bolts if you are already getting some damn good bolts. Plus if those rods are rated at 650 FWHP continously with the capscrews! What i mean that rating is for circle track racing. Those puppies will handle a lot more. I got them and I did reasearch and everything on every part I bought. Those Crowers are lighter or damn close to the same weight of the lunati light weight rods. their strength is very acceptable. I would definitely recommend these to everyone that is looking for rods.
