Swapping Ls1 to Ls6 intake what to exspect
Swapping Ls1 to Ls6 intake what to exspect In a couple days I'm gonna be doing the swap to an Ls6 intake on a 98 z28 now my concerns are are there any issues I'm going to run into I'v heard its a pretty basic swap but will there be any parts I will to remove/purchase for swap? I'm basically looking for a break down of what I need or don't need for the swap.
It has been quite some time since I did mine, but I believe I did not change the coolant, crossover lines. I did carefully grind the ribs out of the bottom of the intake where necessary to provide clearance, IIRC. I may have tweaked the lines a bit also. I have not noticed any coolant leaks. In fact, I just did a coolant system pressure test and ran the engine for a while with transmission and clutch out.
I think my intake manifold is seated fine. If you go this route, make certain everything seats and seals properly.
