right now its just the stock l92 small bore heads by gm high performance all stock components heres the specs

•LS3/L92 Port Configuration
•''As cast'' runners and combustion chamber
•15? valve angle
•Assembled with 2.00'' intake and 1.55'' exhaust valves
•250cc intake port and 80cc exhaust port
•70cc combustion chamber
•Intake flow - 280 cfm @ .600'' lift / Exhaust flow - 180 cfm @ .700'' lift
•Beehive valve springs
•Uses LS3/L92 style rocker arms (offset)
•3.890'' minimum bore size
•Uses LS3/L92 style intake manifold

and ys i want to acheive 500 at the wheels i know i need to go custom grind just dont know numbers and if any head work in needed this is my first ls build

Ugh 250cc runner on top of a 2" valve and a carb? That might be a little tricky to spec a good cam. I would definitely go custom so you explain the entire build and goals, and have them spec a cam for you. Personally, I would probably be in the neighborhood of 230/240 durations and probably a tight 111 LSA.

For a few bucks more, why not have someone custom spec you a cam that's tailored to your engine's top end and your goals for the car?

Well, nothing against that cam but it was meant for an LSx with much smaller ports and a plastic manifold. With LS3 ports, LS1 valves, and a single plane intake, it may not work as well.
