383 build with 5.3 heads?
The current setup in my 02 Z28 is a F-13 cam and Absolute Speed 5.3 heads (stock intake, lid, ported TB, stock injectors, stock bottom end, ported ls6 oil pump, LS2 timing chain, headers, ORY, Corsa Sport).
I'm pretty sure I spun a bearing at the track, maybe burnt a ring or 2.
Might as well tear it down and go with a forged 383.
Goals: turbo in the future and of course, budget. I'll spend what I need to but I'm not going all out on a Fast intake or turbo setup right now.
My question is, will the F-13 cam and the AS 5.3 heads be decent with a 383? Is that a good for a turbo in the future, or will I be looking at a H/C swap along with intake for a turbo in the future?
