speed parts install assistance!
Make sure you have the proper tools to do the job. You'll be removing the damper and when you re-install it, use the proper tool, DO NOT use the crank bolt to install it.
Get an LS2 timing chain-the original cam & crank gears can be re-used.
Torque wrench, red thread locker, know how to align the timing cover, etc.
Get a bottle of Red Line engine assembly lube and coat the cam well.
I would say as you'll have the heads off, have an engine shop do a quick clean up of them and they'll confirm the installed spring height and pressures. Do the trunnion upgrade to the rocker arms. A nice new ported oil pump would also be on my list.

And I was planning on not taking the heads off. I know it might be a little more difficult but I have a somewhat tight budget so if I can get away with it I'd like to.
