Default 5.3 cam question

Thanks Guys for all the help with my last Build that I had to sale do to family needing the cash worse than I needed the toy ! Had over $10,000 invested in my motor and sold it fast for $3500 it was a big help . Now I still have a bone stock 5.3 complete pull out from a 2002 half ton as well as a 2000 z28 4l60e with tci 3300 lock up anti ballooning convertor . 4:11 geared 9" in the process of back half and an even 224/224 612/612 -13 Howard's cam kit that includes dual timing chain , melling oil pump and 625 Howard's springs . It's in a 2700# Sonoma . BRP 1-7/8 long tubes true duals 3" with flowmaster 10s that will dump before the rear end and cat delete with current performance harness ! Mainly curios how that cam will act . The timing set does have 3 positions . BIG THANKS !!!!

So what exactly are you looking for?

That truck will be fast and flow well. No interested in a FAST or LS6 intake manifold?

Default Thanks

Those cam specs ok ? Seems like an odd amount of lift compared to other 224 cams .

I was told since the truck intake fits I should run it even though it's ugly it flows well .

That cam would benefit from cnc ported with it's lift and the truck intake manifold might cost you some top-end power with that cam. Otherwise it should work good with the 3300 stall TC, run sound and drive very good on the street. I'd run that cam as it is, dot-to-dot 224/224 113lsa+4, at least until you have the truck intake ported or get something like a LS6 intake manifold.
