Heads or rockers, see topic for explanation. Okay, now that my short block is done my attention now turns into the 317 heads that came with the block.
I have been debating two things.
1. Have the heads ported by TEA or Texas Speed and "upgrade" the stock rockers
or
2. Install SLP 1.85 rockers and just do a basic valve job and spring upgrade on the heads, no porting.
I will be using a CompCam, XR273HR, Duration @.050 220/224, Lift @ .530/.534
Both will almost cost the same. I'm just wondering which would have better potential.
