Default Cam bearing opinion

Getting ready to install a new cam in my junkyard lq4 and this is what I find. Just wondering if I should replace them or not don't want to ruin my new cam. They feel like crap but the journals of the cam look fine.

That's normal, seen the same on several low mile engines when replacing the cam.

Measure the diameter of the cam journals and your bearing inside diameter. If they are worn excessively replace them if not run them. Long as the oil holes are lined up and you have the right clearance run it.

Ok so the clearances checked good so I put the cam in. Now my next question is the timing chain seems pretty loose. I have about 3/8 inch deflection. What is the specs for this

Remember the block grows quite a bit when its fully warmed up, you need some slack in that chain.
