Default What is it worth?

I just got my old engine back from the machine shop.
It's a 2001, ls1 with 76,000 miles out of a camaro.

I'm going to sell as a disassembled shortblock. The cylinders aren't too bad, but a machine shop will need to clean them up, crank needs polished. As well as bearings and whatnot.

Basically it's a block, with a handful of parts.
I have no idea what this is worth. Just curious what I should be asking for it?

I wouldn't pay more then 500 if that... not to insult you but I scored a complete 02 6.0 longblock for $300 pulled, $100 of it was to get it pulled by my buddy... it has a spun rod bearing so it will need to be rebuilt, And that is where the $$ is going to be spent! why didn't you rebuild it? I would think it's worth allot more if redone. I'm basically in the same boat as you my 78k ls1 started to misfire with no codes! going to do a compression test and leakdown as well. depending what the results are will basically "force" me to rebuild the 6.0 to a 408 OOORRR rebuild the top end on my ls1, with 799 heads, ls6 intake, cam of choice etc etc... parts I have sitting in my garage.

I've been in kind of a tough spot about rebuilding it.
The machine shop was very high on the rebuild, (almost 4,000 after lifters and oil pump) so I just went ahead and scrapped that idea.

I'm not worries about what I get for this, simply I don't want to under price it and miss out. Also, don't want to overprice and look like a fool.
