Default LS6 Intake Crack-What do I do?

I purchased an intake off this forum. Just got it and it has a crack on the side. The crack is on the passenger side between the first and second ports.

It is basically in the dead space between these ports.

I don't know if this is a problem. Will I have an intake leak?

I think this happened in the shipping and the seller is willing to sort it out. Is this a cosmetic issue or a REAL problem.

That doesn't look like it will cause a problem. I would give it a go if it were me.

It is just on the thin plastic fin, which has no function, so you're fine. If it reached under the gasket area, I'd monitor it (that likely wouldn't cause a problem even, since when tightened down the gasket would fill the crack) , but where it is, I wouldn't worry about it at all.

I used super glue and put the piece back on. Isn't that area of the intake just filler. All the magic happens within the gasket region. Cosmetically it is a bummer. But I am going to try to hide it with the electrical harnesses.

What would I see if there was a problem?

Thank

If it were cracked on the bottom or in a runner you would have a vacuum leak. Poor idle, poor throttle response. Are you replacing the 8 blue O-ring gaskets ?

They are new gaskets. I wasn't planning on replacing. Do I need to? Or should I ?

I wouldn't worry about that crack at all. Just get it installed and you should be good to go.

Glue it on and go. Won't hurt anything and where it's at will probably be covered by the wiring harness so I doubt you can even see it.

Thanks everyone. I'm gonna wash it tomorrow and then put it on.
