Same here. I live in superior, but usually put Duluth as home. Since I've lived and worked there my whole life, and people actually know where it is. Lol. That and superior... Well.. Sucks

I'm sure I'll be seeing you around.

Last thing. I'm about to place an order at ws6 store for the SLP air lid, plugs and wires and possibly a shift kit.

Our local dealer wants $185 for wires. So its either the msd or the gmpp.. I'm guessing there isn't much of a difference , but I do see they have a MSD/NGK deal for $75 that looks pretty good..

Shift kit? Yes, no?

Trans cooler? I'm guessing the 15,000 btu is the most popular?

Go with the MSD deal, very common and popular with tech members.

Yea I called ws6store and they said that one and the 29.000btu are the most popular. I was just gonna go with the 14k btu like you just cuz I didn't think I needed the big one. But maybe I'll reconsider

I'd wait on a **** kit til' ALL maintenance is done

You'll be glad you did later.

fyi I can do plugs and wires installed for a lot less than the deal price ha. Although anyone will tell you #8 is a P.I.T.A
Shoot me a pm. Good to know there's actually another ls guy in soup town!

I'm doing plugs , wires, trans cooler , SLP lid and trans drain and fill, and a coolant flush at the moment.

OK. Just a few questions. Been busy so I haven't had a chance to order my plugs and wires and lid yet.

I've seen many issues in the past with the SLP lid not fitting correctly or people using a heatgun to make it fit right. Is the ftp lid any better, or should I say worth $80 more? And I also noticed the size difference. There's the SLP, then ftp makes a 98, and 104mm lid.. I realize I don't need that now but, when I mod in the future, w heads , cam , etc and possibly think about getting a larger maf and throttle body, it seems it would be a waste to get the SLP lid for $100 if it won't fit that setup..

So basically just trying to future proof myself , and will get the ftp if it will be beneficial later down the road , especially with larger maf and tb, if not then I'll get the SLP.

Yea I already bought the car. .. I just wanted to ask the question about the lid in here to not clutter the forum with yet another lid question.

Basically just wondering what to buy. The SLP or the ftp.. Only reason I ask is that if in the future when I do heads and cam, I would probably want to jump to a larger maf and TB, correct? And I didn't know if the SLP lid fit anything larger than stock. So I didn't wanna buy the SLP now to have it useless later .

Yea. I still have a lot to read up on.. I've seen a lot of people with issues after putting in aftermarket maf and throttle bodies. So that worried me at first, and don't know if it's still a concern or not.

I plan on having rpm speed ( ws6 store ) in Iowa doing all the tuning , so maybe I just need to talk to their tech guys and get a good setup to figure everything out
