Default Hardcore answer. direct injection head swap

any nays on these heads going on a 3rd gen block? like a bored out 6.0? if i could get these heads for only $225 a piece with injectors, would these 6.2 liter truck heads be worth the money? and what kind of piston would i need? Just a serious question before i consider giving up on LS3 heads... any one else thought of this before? what are the differences? i know the injectors are in the cylinder.. any oil or coolant roots that are different?

right.. i thought the mechanical fuel pump was driven from the serpentine. and i was thinking a fuel regulator might help with electric pumps then a mechanical one... custom made intake. sheet metal? just throwing some of that out there. run it with an ls1 harness.. budget friendly engine making 475+

While I can certainly appreciate you're wanting to try something new, the fact that you thought the Gen V pump was driven off the front drive belt shows you haven't really studied this new engine very much.

Though the head gaskets look similer, I doubt the Gen V head would cleanly bolt up to a Gen III/IV block.
