HO 5.3 nitrous build, 243 heads, ls6/milled?
ok Guys,
Im building a HO 5.3 full float flat top motor, new rings, bearings, etc
I have a ls6 intake with a nitrous outlet plate and going to run 150-200 shot.
Cam is a 226/229 580-585 on a 112 with patriot gold 650 springs.(is this to much spring?)
Stock 243 heads, but really thinking of milling them 20-30 thousand as this is a na/nitrous motor only and I might as well do this while im getting the heads checked and setup.
My question is who has or what have some of you guys running 5.3 flats milled your heads to to get some free power. I know doing this would put me in the 11.0-11.25 range but I think that's still acceptable.
what head gaskets did you use and do you have a better spec cam out there?
This is going in a 67 Camaro, 3200 stall 4160 trans, 373 rear.
thanks
