Default Rocker reinstall

So I just read a few posts here and others found elsewhere about reinstalling the rockers.. its almost a 50/50 on the placement of the rockers.

Im having the heads worked on and once I get them back, will be reinstalling the rockers(if they are all still good) I do plan on doing the trunion upgrade on them.

So a few manuals state place the rockers back in the same location, and then other online sources state it doesn't matter.

Since im installing new pushrods, new lifters, new valve springs and possibly reusing the stock rockers with the upgrade, does it matter the order they go back in?

id like to start cleaning them up and getting them ready for when I get the heads back later this week..

thanks..

Nope, doesn't matter. If you were reusing pushrods, springs, and lifters then definitely.

I would put them back where they came from. If you have the locations, why change them. They wear into the valve stem as well and the rocker stands are not perfect and can put a slight skew in the rockers.
