Default Ls6 arp rod bolt torque confusion

So I got the arp rod bolt set and was wondering what the correct torque should be. I know stock is around 16 plus x amount of degrees but the arp bolts in the supplied directions says 44 ft lbs. that's over double!? Is this correct I feel like it's going to strip the threads in the rods please help!

Yeah, torque it to stock specs. It's not like ARP knows what they're doing...

If you don't have a rod bolt stretch gauge, depending on which kit you have, the rod bolts should be torqued to 40 or 45 ft-lbs. No need to worry about angles.
